The original large commercial beneificiary of Linux has been Red Hat, which has sold binary related services for their packaging of the operating system since 1993, perhaps the key player in the early years helping Linux become established in the server space.

Red Hat releases some Free Open Source Software and some COSS applications. Their Free Open Source Software applications include all versions of their operating system including their enterprise edition.
